Abigail Fernandes, LICSW

Every individual is created unique.

Abigail believes that all people are uniquely created.  Her life continued to reflect those ideals after completing her master’s degree in social work at New Mexico State University, specializing in working with diverse populations.  Over time, education and life experiences keep challenging her understanding of diversity.  Working in multiple parts of the country & Ukraine has instilled humbleness acknowledging each individual’s complexity that has created their self-identity.  The outcome has created a holistic and eclectic approach in her outpatient therapy integrating multiple treatment modalities best suited to each individual’s unique needs and strengths.  Abigail has her LICSW and works as a mental health therapist providing outpatient therapy for adults and children.

Individual Therapy

a

Engaging in mental health therapy begins a journey.  Her goal is to provide a safe, neutral space where she partners with you on your path as your guide empowering you to process, grow, heal, and work towards life goals you have.

Over time, education and life experiences keep challenging Abigail’s understanding of diversity.  Working in multiple parts of the USA & Ukraine has instilled humbleness acknowledging each individual’s complexity creating their self-identity.  The outcome created a holistic and eclectic approach in her outpatient therapy integrating multiple treatment modalities best suited to each individual’s unique needs and strengths.

Group Therapy

a

A group provides a unique dynamic of support, empathy, and knowledge from other members.  As the facilitator, Abigail encourages members to engage with others recognizing their own strengths and finding their own voice.  Groups provide opportunities  for receiving new ideas and skills from one another in addition to Abigail’s knowledge.
